Initial Integration

For your first three months you will be part of a flexible and individual orientation program. You will be provided with as much support as you require to ensure that you have a sound understanding of: your role, responsibilities and environment.

Ongoing Learning and Development

At Opal Aged Care we offer an extensive range of Ongoing Learning & Development Activities. We believe that investing in our people not only improves their skills and abilities but has a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families. What role you play in providing inspired care, will determine what learning & development activities you will have to participate in and those you can choose to participate in. For every position there are:

  • Mandatory Learning Programs
  • Core Learning Programs
  • On-the-job skills
  • Elective Programs

These programs cover the full spectrum of knowledge and skills that are required for people to perform their roles effectively and with confidence.

Traineeships and Diplomas

We provide career pathways for each individual to achieve their goals and reach their potential. For employees who meet the eligibility criteria we have a range of traineeships our employees can access, Cert III in Aged Care and Health Admin or Cert III in cleaning or laundry services. We can also assist our employees to further their careers by supporting them to achieve Diploma or Bachelor qualifications.
