Opal Aged Care Collection Notice
This Collection Notice informs you of how Opal Aged Care (“Opal”) deals with personal information collected in the process of assessing your suitability for employment with Opal. This notice is given in compliance with Australian Privacy Principle 5 and may be updated from time to time.
Who does Opal collect your personal information from?
Opal collects your personal information from you whenever you enter or change information in our recruitment system, and when we have discussions with you.
Opal also collects your personal information from third parties. These third parties may include your referees, recruitment agencies, social media, previous employers, educational institutions, the Department of Immigration, police services, health check providers, outsourced talent providers, psychometric testing service providers or other pre-employment checking service providers.
Why does Opal collect your information?
Opal collects your personal information for the purpose of considering you for possible employment opportunities, including ones you have applied for or ones that may be of interest to you.
What are the main consequences of Opal not collecting personal information?
If Opal does not collect some or all of the personal information, we may not be able to assess your suitability for employment with our organization.
Who does Opal disclose personal information to?
As part of our recruitment process, we may disclose your personal information to your referees, recruitment agencies, previous employers, educational institutions, the Department of Immigration, police services, health check providers, outsourced talent providers, psychometric testing service providers or other pre-employment checking service providers in order to obtain relevant information about you.
Opal uses third party providers to store personal information that it has collected.
Opal does not intend to disclose personal information to overseas recipients.
