Tan joined Opal as Chief Information Officer in January 2019. He believes that constantly challenging the way we think about how we use technology, and taking advantage of advancements in technology, is essential to delivering better aged care services. Tan is also focused on delivering a trusted and reliable technology service across Opal and helping to shape our technology transformation and innovation. He is particularly interested in achieving our true potential as an innovator in aged care in the adoption of emerging technology and capabilities.

Before joining Opal, Tan had gained 14 years’ of experience in the aged care sector, most recently at Bupa, where he held a number of technical and senior leadership roles. Tan holds a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of NSW.
