“The true gift of caring for others lies in the relationships that are formed; the wisdom and stories that are shared; and the sense of community that evolves. At Opal, we consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to provide high quality, evidenced based clinical care for our residents, and to partner at every step of the way with their families.”
Lucy joined Opal as Director of Clinical Services in February 2019. Underpinning Lucy’s motivation for partnering with residents and our team to improve Aged Care is a firm belief in social justice supported by strong family values. Having focused the majority of her clinical career in paediatric intensive care where she held positions as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Advanced Practise Nurse, Lucy has spent the last decade in corporate healthcare. She has an extensive background in strategy and engagement, policy development, service redesign, programme implementation and project management in large and complex health systems in Australia and the USA.
Most recently, Lucy worked at the Australian Digital Health Agency where she was General Manager of Clinical and Community Partnerships and Insights. She has a Master’s degree from the University of Technology and Postgraduate Certificates from the NSW College of Nursing and the University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
